The University of Cape Coast (UCC) is a public collegiate university located in the historic town of Cape Coast in the central region of Ghana. [2] The campus has a rare seafront and sits on a hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It operates on two campuses: the Southern Campus (Old Site) and the Northern Campus (New Site).
Uccel's "big-ticket item" claim to fame was software called UCC-1/TMS (Tape Management System), an IBM mainframe product for managing the tape library in an OS/MVS operating system environment. In 1980, they developed their second "big hitter" and most profitable product, UCC-7 ( job scheduler ).
They then tried again with an older fast access system file version, and while it worked, it was unreliable. After doing test runs with several other Universities mail programs, two developers at UCC implemented their own version, which also contained a message board feature, and was the campus wide e-mail solution for a couple of years.
CA-7 is a job scheduling / workflow automation software package sold by CA Technologies (formerly CA, Inc. and Computer Associates International, Inc.). [1] It is commonly used by banks [2] and other large enterprises with IBM mainframe IT computing platforms.
The new system was announced as open for public access on UseNet (a world-wide bulletin board system) in February 1991 (Curtis, personal communication). [12] MOO was originally developed as a MUD server in the same general style (sharing much of the command syntax and community conventions) as TinyMUD.
Ticketing systems, reporting systems and knowledge systems are all replaced by a central UC management platform. [3] More recently, unified communications services have moved into the cloud and have become UCaaS [6] (Unified Communications as a Service). All UCaaS providers use advanced UC management platforms to manage their cloud services.
Moodle (/ ˈ m uː d əl / MOO-dəl) is a free and open-source learning management system written in PHP and distributed under the GNU General Public License. [3] [4] Moodle is used for blended learning, distance education, flipped classroom and other online learning projects in schools, universities, workplaces and other sectors. [5] [6] [7]
