To date the Okanagan International Marathon has donated in excess of $173,000 to the Sunshine Foundation Dream for Kids. Growing from a small marathon with a group of dedicated runners the event today has over 3,400 participants. [1] The event includes the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K & 5K Family Fun Run/Walk as well as the BMO Kids run.
Prospera Place, formerly known as Skyreach Place, is a 6,886-seat multi-purpose arena, in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. Kelowna (/ k ə ˈ l oʊ n ə / ⓘ kə-LOH-nə) is a city on Okanagan Lake in the Okanagan Valley in the southern interior of British Columbia, Canada. It serves as the head office of the Regional District of Central Okanagan. The name Kelowna derives from the Okanagan word kiʔláwnaʔ, referring to a grizzly bear. [8] [9]
