A splayed or wedge coping is one that slopes in a single direction; a saddle coping slopes to either side of a central high point. Boundary wall, 66, 68 and 70 Hen Conner Lane: Late 18th to early 19th century: The wall enclosing the gardens is in gritstone with rounded coping. Its overall length is about 50 metres (160 ft), and it is between 2 metres (6 ft 7 in) and 3 metres (9.8 ft) high.
