The Philadelphia Orchestra is an American symphony orchestra, based in Philadelphia. One of the " Big Five " American orchestras, the orchestra is based at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts , where it performs its subscription concerts, numbering over 130 annually, at Marian Anderson Hall (formerly Verizon Hall).
Fedderly has been the principal tubist for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra since 1983 and has performed as substitute principal tuba for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. [2]

From 1939 until 1944, he was the tubist of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra under Fritz Reiner. In 1941, Jacobs toured the country with Leopold Stokowski and the All-American Youth Orchestra. He was a member of the Chicago Symphony from 1944 until his retirement in 1988.
