Dalian (/ d ɑː ˈ l j ɛ n / dah-LYEN) [5] is a major sub-provincial port city in Liaoning province, People's Republic of China, [6] and is Liaoning's second largest city (after the provincial capital Shenyang) and the third-most populous city of Northeast China (after Shenyang and Harbin).

Lüshunkou District (also Lyushunkou District; 旅顺口区) is a district of Dalian, Liaoning province, China. The district's area is 512.15 km 2 (197.74 sq mi) and its permanent population as of 2020 is 398,579. [2] [1] [3] Lüshunkou is located at the extreme southern tip of the Liaodong Peninsula.
It is located in Ganjingzi District, about 10 km (6.2 mi) northwest of the city center. In 2018 the airport handled 18,758,171 passengers, making it the busiest airport in Northeast China and the 24th busiest nationwide. The airport is the hub for Dalian Airlines and a focus city for China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines.
