Bad Religion is an American punk rock band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1980, the group originally included vocalist Greg Graffin , guitarist Brett Gurewitz , bassist Jay Bentley and drummer Jay Ziskrout . [ 1 ]

Graffin has said that the name "Bad Religion" came about when the then-adolescent members of the band wanted to "piss people off." [23] In 1981, the band released their initial eponymous six-song EP as a 7" record on the newly formed label, Epitaph Records, which was and continues to be managed and owned by Gurewitz.

After making a name for themselves in the Los Angeles punk scene, releasing two EPs and two full-length albums, they disbanded around 1985. However, Bad Religion reformed in 1986 with a new line-up, consisting of Graffin on vocals, Brett Gurewitz and Greg Hetson on guitars, Jay Bentley on bass, and Pete Finestone on drums.
Keith "Lucky" Lehrer (born April 18, 1958) is a drummer from Los Angeles, California associated with several influential LA punk rock bands. He was originally trained in jazz [1] then played in a number of LA punk rock bands, particularly the Circle Jerks, [2] [3] Redd Kross, [1] Bad Religion, [4] Darby Crash Band and LA's Wasted Youth, among others.
