Fancy Farm is a historic plantation house located at Kelso Mill, near Bedford, Bedford County, Virginia. It was built about 1785, and is a two-story, five bay brick dwelling in the Late Georgian style. It has a metal gable roof and two interior end chimneys. The interior features original woodwork. The house was restored in 1969–1971.
The house is a 2-1/2 story timber-frame structure, with a gabled roof and central chimney. Single-story wings extend to either side of the main block. Although this house was traditionally given a construction date of c. 1647, architectural analysis indicates the use of 18th-century construction methods in building it. [ 2 ]
