Northeast Kingdom Community Action ( NEKCA) is an anti-poverty community action agency that helps people in Vermont 's Northeast Kingdom meet their basic needs and become self-sufficient. The agency is a partner of the Vermont Department for Children and Families [6] and is primarily funded by federal and state government resources.
The program was relocated from Northwest State Correctional Facility in St. Albans to Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield. The program has 45 to 48 beds and is 24 to 36 months long.
