This calculator will take an expression without parentheses and combine like terms. Shortcut commands are included, simply enter the expression you wish to have like terms combined into the search engine such as 4x^2+9x+3x^2-6+9-8x. Multi-Variable expressions such as 5y - 9x + 6y + 3x - 7 - 8...
This was my first thought, but the result on my calculator was somehow always wrong. Turns out something that should not have been was turned on. Tried the equation on another calculator and surprise surprise, it's correct. So: tan alpha = 1/2. alpha = tan^-1 (1/2) alpha = 26°34 '. Thanks for your help.
I've revamped our original equation solver to include inequalities and multiple variable terms and constants. Limitations are no powers are allowed, and only one variable [a-z] is allowed. This comes complete with a quiz generator, shortcut commands, and a practice problem generator. If...
Using the formula Ve = sqrt 2 mu/r Where Ve is the escape velocity, mu is the Gravitational constant times the mass of the object to be escaped from, and r is the radius of said object. I now have the following: Ve = sqrt 2(6.6742 x 10^-11 N m^2/kg^2 (12.1kg))/0.106780959m N Being...
Discussion Starter. Aug 12, 2010. #1. Simplify the expressions below without using a calculator. Your answer should not have any radicals in it. (a) sqrt [u^4], where u = any real number. (b) sqrt [5x] * sqrt [80x^3], where x is greater than or equal to 0.
NYC. Discussion Starter. Sep 12, 2010. #1. The relationship between the number of calculators x that. a company can sell per month and the price of each calculator p is given by x = 1700 - 100p. Find the price at which a calculator should be sold to produce a monthly revenue of $7000. (Hint given in textbook: Revenue = xp.)
Just thought that was neat. But, did you ever receive an answer about this? When I put in (-8-(-5))^2+(-4(2))^2 and put it under a square root bracket, I get 6.708203932. I need the answer to be a square root answer. The answer itself is 3 bracket(4) but I need the calculator to give me that answer instead of a decimal.

I assuming he is having problens because a scientific calc does not have a cot key like a graphing calc does. Note that cot x = 1 / (tan x) So if your calculator has the tan button, hit: 1 / tan (.2674)

I'm in Trig and doing Sine/Cosine/Tangent curves and graphing them on my calculator and it would be very beneficial to learn this. Thank you. If you want to get the coordinates of points of the graph use the TRACE function of the calculator: TRACE.
Feb 22, 2009. #2. Any cubic equation is of the form y = A x 3 + b x 2 + c x + d . One way to get a cubic equation from the data is to just pick three points and put their x and y values into that, so you have 3 equations to solve for a, b, and c. If I were doing this I would pick numbers at the beginning, center and end of the list.
