Last year, Halo Infinite beta won off the beta alone. Year before that, online hate for The Last of Us 2 got people organizing votes for Ghost of Tsushima. Before that, it was Fire Emblem: Three Houses won because it got snubbed from the GOTY awards. It's always been whichever online fanbases has the biggest axe to grind.
Hi everyone, It's December again which means this community is hosting the annual GOTY Award where you can vote on your favorite release of the past…
It has a very strong opening. The first 8 hours or so are fantastic as you piece together the game and get upgrades. But the game is pretty shallow and the overarching puzzle has one solution. So folks that played it hard for a weekend and wrote a review loved it. People that took their time did not.
2.1K votes, 2K comments. true. Here are the nominees: GAME OF THE YEAR A Plague Tale: Requiem (Asobo Studio/Focus Entertainment) Elden Ring (FromSoftware/Bandai Namco) God of War Ragnarök (Sony Santa Monica/SIE) Horizon Forbidden West (Guerrilla Games/SIE) Stray (BlueTwelve Studio/Annapurna) Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (Monolith Soft/Nintendo)
I just finished chained echoes (by the way it's on game pass for those who play on Xbox/PC). The game is really good and the soundtrack is amazing. The game definitely has some flaws, both story wise (that ending is fucking stupid) and gameplay wise (sky armor battle are boring and the gem system is awful).
Love to see Metroid Dread get the love it deserves. My fav game of the year. But so sad to see how overlooked Neo The World Ends With You is. It's such a great game, and it got so snubbed on some of these categories. Like, honestly the only reason not to consider it the best soundtrack of the year, is straight up just not having listened to it
Hey there! The votes have been counted, it's time to see what you thought were the best games in 2020! Most nominations were community selected, the only exception was the moderators added some games in categories that were barren or had some invalid nominations.
These are the All-Star votes last year one week before voting ended--and this year--at the same time. The total votes for the top 5 votegetters this year is around 888,000. Last year, it was 144,000. So overall there are more than 6 times as many votes this year! Go WNBA!!!
