The Indiana Online Academy (IOA) was developed to help Indiana school districts provide a high-quality, full-time virtual option for students in grades 5-12. After 15 years of successfully delivering supplemental courses to Indiana high schools, IOA expanded to intermediate and middle school courses.

Indiana Online offers a variety of asynchronous online summer school courses in partnership with over 300 schools statewide. Our courses are developed and taught by licensed Indiana teachers and experts in their respective subject areas.
Indiana Online offers a wide variety of courses for *5th – 12th grades in both an asynchronous and live Zoom format. *Summer school courses are offered to high school students and are only offered in an asynchronous format. For the 2024-2025 school year, Indiana Online will offer open, rolling enrollment. Once approved, students will be enrolled on Monday and Thursday of each week. Printable 2024-25 Academic calendar. Full-time virtual students will follow the 2024-25 Academy student calendar.
Indiana Online courses are developed and taught by Indiana licensed teachers. Courses meet Indiana State Standards. Schools do not need to be a CIESC member school to take part in Indiana Online’s supplemental high school courses.
