5 Live Sport is the banner of live sports coverage on BBC Radio 5 Live. The regular presenters are Mark Chapman (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday), Kelly Cates (Tuesday), Steve Crossman (Thursday and Sunday) and Darren Fletcher (Friday). The programme is on air from Monday to Wednesday 7pm to 10:30pm, as well as Thursday and Friday 7pm to 10pm.

Football, cricket, rugby union, rugby league, snooker, motorsport and several other sports had message boards embedded into 606. On 24 January 2011, it was announced the 606 forum would close at the end of the 2010–11 football season, due to cuts in the BBC's online budget of 25% . [4] The forum finally closed on 31 May 2011. 2002 saw the launch of Radio 5 Sports Extra (then known as BBC Radio Five Live Sports Extra), and Digital radio was seen as the solution for "where to put" TMS, and as a way for cricket fans to avoid broadcasts of the Shipping Forecast, The Daily Service and Yesterday in Parliament which would otherwise interrupt the cricket on long wave.
He has presented the station's flagship 5 Live Sport and their coverage of the Great North Run. He is also an occasional host of BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra's coverage of the Football League. A Regional RTS Awards winner, Clemmit has worked as a football reporter and pundit on BBC Regional TV in the North East.
For some years he regularly hosted the Saturday afternoon sports programme Sport on Two, and for five years he hosted BBC Radio's high-profile Saturday teatime Sports Report. Around 1984 he also became a match commentator, working alongside Peter Jones and Bryon Butler. In 1991, he took over from Butler as the BBC's football correspondent.
Fighting Talk is a topical sports show broadcast on BBC Radio 5 Live during the English football season. The show is broadcast on Saturday mornings for an hour between 11·00 and 12·00 and is currently presented by Rick Edwards.
