Powerslide is a post-apocalyptic Microsoft Windows racing game by Australian developer Ratbag Games. It was released in Australia, United States and Europe in 1998. [ 2 ] Powerslide was praised for its graphics and AI in particular.
Ratbag was founded in 1993 in Adelaide, South Australia, by Richard Harrison and Greg Siegele.Known initially as "Emergent Games", the company took three years to prototype their first title Powerslide.
The powerslide is a braking method used in inline skating where both skates are quickly moved into a position perpendicular to the moving direction of the skater. Whereas braking this way is quite common in ice skating (where it is called a hockey stop ), any irregularity on the surface can make a novice roller skater easily lose balance and fall.

In 2014 Powerslide (a German inline skate company) introduced a 125mm wheel for use on a three-wheeled frame varying in sizes from 11.8" to 13.0". Much controversy surrounded this development since FIRS did not allow 125mm wheels at the 2014 and 2015 world championships.
WRC Powerslide was developed by Milestone srl and released on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and Steam. As of April 2016, the game has been taken down off from the PSN, XLA, and Steam stores.
