Gaurav Gogoi (born 4 September 1982) is an Indian politician and social worker of Indian National Congress from Assam who is serving as the Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha since 2024. [2] From 2020 till 2024, he served as the deputy leader of Indian National Congress parliamentary party under Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.
He was succeeded by Gaurav Gogoi with a historic margin in 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. [1] He was elected in Assam Legislative Assembly election in 2016 from Sonari constituency . [ 2 ] [ 3 ] [ 4 ] He was also the minister of state for Power (independent charge) in Government of Assam.
