St Silas Church, named after Saint Silas, was built in 1867. [1] The first vicar of the church was Charles Sisum Wright. [2] It was consecrated for use as a church in 1869. [3] The building was designated a Grade II listed structure on 28 July 1973. [4] On 1 December 2000, the church was closed after 133 years of continuous operation. [5]
The Children's Hospital, Sheffield from the south west entrance of Weston Park, on Western Bank. The hospital first opened on 15 November 1876 as a children's infirmary in Brightmore House, on Brook Hill in Sheffield. [1] Two years later it moved to its current site on Western Bank where it was accommodated in a pair of semi-detached houses. [1]

Broom Hall is a historic house in the City of Sheffield, England that gives its name to the surrounding Broomhall district of the city.
