Bardonia is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Clarkstown, Rockland County, New York, United States. It is located northeast of Nanuet, northwest of West Nyack, south of New City, and west of Valley Cottage. The population was 4,108 at the 2010 census. [2] Bardonia is north of the New York State Thruway.
On the front facade is the county World War I Memorial. [ 2 ] The Dutch Garden was designed by Mary Horgan Mowbray-Clarke (1874–1962), a West Nyack native and wife of the sculptor John Mowbray-Clarke , [ 3 ] in 1933–34 and constructed between 1934 and 1938 as a Works Progress Administration project.
