Lake Washington is the type of lake that my family would really enjoy. I assure we safely release any bass we catch, even if I have to cut the barb off of the jig. Cokato lake is interesting also with the catfish population.

The problem with Washington is the introduction of MilFoil. We have been on the lake for nearly 25 years. All the "goto spots" are no longer the "hot spots" (some cases) due to the increased vegitation around the lake.

I’m spending a few days with a friend at the end of June in Litchfield “ covid 19 pending, lol”. He’s a walleye guy and I’m a bass guy. Was looking at hitting up lake Washington for some Smallies/largemouth. I’m guessing it will be late post spawn early summer transition. Any help on locating som...

  7. Lake Washington Fishing Reports

    fishingminnesota.com/forums/topic/140454-lake-washington-fishing-reports

Much of the most productive water on Lake Washington never gets touched. HINT: Focus on tile line inlets especially after a rain. By the way, we need a good drink from up above. Shallow cattails and any inside weedlines are a safe bet right now for pannies too.

Unfortunatly I do not get to fish the lake very often. I usually prefish the lake twice for the one tourney I fish there every year. I have only fished the lake for two years and am still learning the lake. I have heard that the docks can be productive if the wind is blowing into them but I have never done well dock fishing on Washington.

  9. Lake Washington Warning - Fishing Minnesota

    fishingminnesota.com/forums/topic/181740-lake-washington-warning

Considering Lake Washington is the busiest lake in all of south central and southeast MN. I would even say it has more recreational and fishing traffic than any other southwest lake I would not ever advise any diving in that lake. Too many reckless people.

It will take about 1.5 hr if the weather is good to get to Washington island, which is on Basswood. Stay in the middle and you should be fine. Its shallow between Moose and Newfound lake, dont cut the corner between the islands. There's a rockpile east of squirrel island thats only about 2-3 feet deep. Have fun!

  11. Top five best walleye lakes in Hutch Area - Fishing Minnesota

    fishingminnesota.com/forums/topic/156854-top-five-best-walleye-lakes-in-hutch-area

Collenwood = Cokato. Washington = Dassel. Jennie, Belle, Swan, Marion are about the closest. Jennie gets weeds early, Washington gets over Fished, and Bell is hard to find good eaters, but is fun lake to Catch and Release.
