A publisher doesn't become any more or less reliable by publishing on Substack, than if it published articles on its own website using some other content management system. Greenwald's, Sullivan's, and Taibbi's newsletters on Substack do not appear to have any editorial oversight, so they are self-published sources equivalent to personal websites.
