The Intrepid Trail System contains 17 miles of single-track mountain bike trails with loops of varying levels of difficulty. Bikes are also allowed single-file on paved roads.
These trails include Moab, Atwater, Lookout, and Mandala. Two boardwalks are present (but not easy to find) in Al Sabo Preserve, providing access to the water from the hiking trails above. In addition, numerous overlooks provide panoramic views of the Preserve, particularly in the winter and spring.
A shorter alternate from Moab is Potash Road—Utah State Route 279—in the east side of the park which connects at the junction of White Rim Road with Shafer Trail. [3] Like the Shafer Trail, White Rim Road is also sometimes referred to as a trail since a common term for a four-wheel drive road is a Jeep trail. [6]
A trailhead which gives hiking access into the canyon is located directly adjacent to Utah State Route 128 (SR‑128). [1] The trailhead is located about three miles (4.8 km) east of the junction of SR‑128 and U.S. Route 191.
