Dewayne Staats (born August 8, 1952) [2] [3] is an American sports broadcaster who has been the television play-by-play commentator for the Tampa Bay Rays since their inception in 1998. [4] He is currently teamed with color commentator Brian Anderson .
Dewayne Staats returned as the play-by-play announcer, but Joe Magrane moved to MLB Network. On February 16, it was made official that Kevin Kennedy would split time in the booth with Brian Anderson, as well as Todd Kalas, who is currently the Rays' pre-, post- and in-game host. [22]
