In 1954, all Benbrook students above the sixth grade were transferred to the Fort Worth ISD. In 1962, the Benbrook School District was consolidated into the Fort Worth system, busing the high school students to North Side High School or Arlington Heights High School and its junior high schools to J.P. Elder or William Monnig Junior High.

SH 15 was extended east to the Louisiana state line on August 21, 1923, replacing a section of SH 11. In 1926, U.S. Highway 80 was routed over SH 15. The routes were marked concurrently. On December 16, 1929, SH 15 was extended west to Fort Worth. [7] On June 24, 1931, this extension to Fort Worth was cancelled. [8]

TX 183 begins in south Fort Worth, near Hulen Mall, heading to the northwest as a freeway from an interchange with I-20 and the Chisholm Trail Parkway.Entitled Southwest Boulevard, TX 183 crosses the Clear Fork of the Trinity River and meets Vickery Boulevard in a folded diamond interchange, from which it reverts to a three-lane arterial road.

Benbrook Lake (also known as Benbrook Reservoir) is a reservoir on the Clear Fork of the Trinity River in Tarrant County, Texas, USA. The lake is located approximately 10 miles (16 km) southwest of the center of Fort Worth, where the Clear Fork and the West Fork of the Trinity River join. The lake is impounded by the Benbrook Dam.
