Back in the present day, Yhwach destroys Yamamoto's remains. Ichigo breaks free and Byakuya asks him to save the Soul Society. Ichigo trades blows with Yhwach's Reishi Sword using Getsuga Tenshō, but is quickly defeated. Yhwach attempts to kill Ichigo, but is countered by Ichigo awakening a defensive Quincy technique called Blut Vëne.
Ichigo Kurosaki (黒崎 一護, Kurosaki Ichigo) is a fictional character in the Bleach manga series and its adaptations created by author Tite Kubo. When Ichigo attempts to fight Renji, he learns that each zanpakutō sword has a unique form that can be accessed only when the Soul Reaper discovers its name. Renji uses his transformed zanpakutō Zabimaru to overwhelm Ichigo. But Ichigo makes a comeback against Renji, overwhelming him and almost defeating him.
While fighting Urahara, Ichigo learns that Zangetsu is the name of his zanpakutō. Upon learning the name, the sword transforms into its more powerful shikai form as Ichigo unleashes an energy blast which knocks off Urahara's hat, completing the third stage in his training. Orihime and Chad, meanwhile, finish their training with Yoruichi.
