The Address Downtown, (Arabic: فندق العنوان داون تاون) formerly The Address Downtown Dubai, is a 63-story, 302.2 m (991 ft) supertall hotel and residential skyscraper in the Burj Dubai Development Area of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was built by Emaar Properties.
Carlton Hotels & Suites is a Dubai based multinational hospitality company that manages hotels mostly in the Middle East and Europe. It was founded 1977 with Carlton Tower Hotel in Deira and was the first five star hotel in Dubai. [2] The chain has nine directly managed hotels & three franchise operated hotels.
The hotel is 142,6 m (467,8 ft.) high [2] and has 236 rooms, suites, and apartments. The Royal Penthouse Suite is spread across 1,130 sqm over two floors with a 360-degree view of Dubai, a majlis and a rooftop private pool. [3] In addition, The H Dubai has 11 dining outlets, an events center, a Mandara Spa and an outdoor pool. [4]
The construction of the hotel began in 1977 backed by the Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai.It was opened to the public on 5 May 1980. Frank Kelly Design Architect, Emad Khaja Project Architect, Resident Architect, Garry Whitney, Interiors, Project Associate, Ben Worley of the design house ‘3D International’ of Houston, Texas designed the building for Abdul Wahab Galadari.
