Kununurra is a town in far northern Western Australia located at the eastern extremity of the Kimberley approximately 45 kilometres (28 mi) from the border with the Northern Territory. Kununurra was initiated to service the Ord River Irrigation Scheme. It is located on the traditional lands of the Miriwoong, an Aboriginal Australian people.
The station has been open for tourism since 2006 and offers a range of accommodation to visitors; following a major renovation in 2008 it was converted to a holiday resort. [6] The accommodation and homestead overlook Bindoola Creek, which is lined with boab trees and has views of the Cockburn Range.
Ngunulum Layout Plan No.1 has been prepared in accordance with State Planning Policy 3.2 Aboriginal Settlements, and was endorsed by the community on 17 January 2011 and the Western Australian Planning Commission on 29 September 2011.

It is located approximately 2,220 kilometres (1,379 mi) from Perth just outside the township of Kununurra. Sandstone formations at Hidden Valley National Park. The park covers a total area of 2,068 hectares (5,110 acres) [1] and was declared a national park in 1982. [2]

Lake Argyle is Western Australia's largest and Australia's second largest [3] freshwater man-made reservoir by volume. The reservoir is part of the Ord River Irrigation Scheme and is located near the East Kimberley town of Kununurra.
The restaurant is located in the shell of a 1933 pumping station established by the Fairbanks Exploration Company, Alaska's largest gold mining operator at the time.
