After Morbius is defeated, Shriek fights Spider-Man herself, but the hero overwhelms her using his black suit, which is immune to her powers. Defeated, Shriek cures Morbius of his vampirism, but is left severely weakened and rendered comatose. Spider-Man leaves the unconscious Shriek in Morbius and Curt Connors' care so they can help her.
