In 1896, another hospital, the Memorial Hospital for Women and Children, was opened to provide care for poor women and children. The two hospitals merged in 1946 to become Concord Hospital. As part of the merger, the Concord Hospital School of Nursing was established, remaining in operation until 1989. [6]

Concord (/ ˈ k ɒ ŋ k ər d /) [6] is the capital city of the U.S. state of New Hampshire and the seat of Merrimack County.As of the 2020 United States census the population was 43,976, [5] making it the 3rd most populous city in New Hampshire after Manchester and Nashua.
