Innisfail (/ ˈ ɪ n ɪ s f eɪ l / IN-is-fayl) is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located in the Calgary-Edmonton Corridor , south of Red Deer at the junction of Highway 2 and Highway 54 .

Highway 22 is the longest and most significant north–south highway in south and central Alberta, aside from Highway 2. It serves as the main artery for the western areas of the Calgary–Edmonton Corridor and the Calgary Metropolitan Region.
The electoral district was created in the 1993 boundary redistribution primarily from the old electoral district of Innisfail. The 2010 boundary redistribution saw a portion of the district west of Sylvan Lake transferred to Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre and portions of land that were outside of the city of Red Deer in the Red Deer-North transferred in.
