The Earth Band combines the stylistic approach of progressive rock with Mann's jazz-influenced Moog synthesizer playing and emphasis on melody.Beside producing their own material, a staple of the band's music and live performances from the beginning has been also relying on covers of songs by other modern pop/rock artists, notably Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen, in their progressive rock style.
Manfred Sepse Lubowitz [7] (born 21 October 1940), known professionally as Manfred Mann, is a South African-born musician, residing in the UK since 1961. He is best known as a founding member of the bands Manfred Mann, Manfred Mann Chapter Three and Manfred Mann's Earth Band.
Manfred Mann were an English rock band formed in London in 1962. They were named after their keyboardist Manfred Mann, who later led the successful 1970s group Manfred Mann's Earth Band. [4] The group had two lead vocalists: Paul Jones from 1962 to 1966 and Mike d'Abo from 1966 to 1969.

The band recorded an album titled Any Day Now which Hart co-wrote all of the tracks and sole wrote most of the tracks. [11] The album was released in the U.S on 9 August 2005. The debut single "Angel" written by Hart, and Russ Ballard [ 12 ] went to number 1 on the ACQB Top 40 charts, staying there for a further 11 weeks.
Mick Rogers (born Michael Oldroyd; 20 September 1946) is an English rock guitarist, singer and songwriter, chiefly known for his time with Manfred Mann's Earth Band from 1971 to 1975 and again since 1984. Rogers was the original lead vocalist of the band until his departure; after his return, he became a backing and occasional lead vocalist.
