In June 2010, Six Flags was considering moving Chang to Six Flags Great America for the 2011 season. The park obtained approval to exceed the 125-foot (38 m) height limit imposed on the park, [ 10 ] but plans were later dropped in favor of a water park expansion.
After ascending 175 feet (53 m), the train enters a pre-drop and then ascends an additional 15 feet (4.6 m) to a maximum height of 190 feet (58 m). During this lift, riders are facing backwards. The first drop is 215 ft (66 m) and is sloped at 88.5 degrees, at the base of which ride vehicles attain a maximum speed of 76 mph (122 km/h).
This all comes about one week before Fright Fest starts at Six Flags Great Adventure. Chaperones must be at least 21 years of age for any guest looking to enter or to remain in the park after 4 p.m.
Scream! is a drop tower ride at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Texas and Six Flags New England in Agawam, Massachusetts. Designed by S&S Worldwide, the ride propels riders up in the air, drops them halfway, brings them back up and finally brings them down to ground level. Both rides are nearly 20 stories high.
