BBC Midlands Today is the BBC's regional television news service for the West Midlands. It was launched in 1964 and is presented by Nicola Beckford, Joanne Malin, Mary Rhodes , Nick Owen , Elizabeth Glinka, Rebecca Wood and Shefali Oza .
Chief presenters will front BBC News coverage of editorially significant events on weekends. News broadcasts outside of these hours, and on weekends are fronted by other BBC presenters, many of which previously appeared on the domestic and international rolling news channels prior to their merger. All Chief Presenters cover BBC News programmes.

Mary Rhodes (born 28 November 1969) [1] is the main presenter of the BBC TV news programme Midlands Today. She was previously a regular sports presenter on BBC World, BBC One and BBC News 24. She hosted the daily magazine programme 110%. [2]
Alexander initially worked for the BBC at Pebble Mill for BBC Radio 4 (where she worked on You and Yours, Checkpoint and Woman's Hour). She then worked on BBC Midlands Today from the 1970s onwards, at one time being a main anchor. In 1992 she left the evening slot, and mainly presented the breakfast and lunchtime bulletins, three days a week.
On 11 August 2012 it was announced Malin would leave the station in September 2012, but Malin continued to present across the BBC Midlands Today output. Latterly, she has been a regular weekday presenter on the breakfast, lunchtime and flagship 6.30 programmes along with co-presenters Nick Owen, Mary Rhodes and Sarah Falkland.
