BMW 330e iPerformance M Sport. The BMW 330e iPerformance is a plug-in hybrid unveiled at the IAA in Frankfurt in September 2015. The first units were registered in Europe by late 2015 and North American sales began in 2016. [53] [54] [55] The 330e features a four-cylinder petrol engine and an 66 kW (88 hp) electric motor.
In 2016, a plug-in hybrid drivetrain was first used in the 3 Series, in the 330e model. [19] Also in 2016, a 3-cylinder engine was used for the first time in a 3 Series. The M3 version (designated F80, the first time an M3 has used a separate model designation) was released in 2014 and is powered by the S55 twin-turbo straight-6 engine.
It was first used in the F56 Mini Hatch and has been used in BMW applications since 2015. The B48 is part of a modular BMW engine family of 3-cylinder ( B38 / B37 ), 4-cylinder (B48/ B47 ) and 6-cylinder ( B58 / B57 ) engines, [ 1 ] which use a displacement of 500 cc (30.5 cu in) per cylinder.

G80 BMW M3. The M3 model was released in 2021. [64] All-wheel drive (xDrive) is optional on the G80 M3, [65] making it the first time that a M3 has not exclusively used a rear-wheel drive layout. The BMW E30 is the second generation of BMW 3 Series, which was produced from 1982 to 1994 and replaced the E21 3 Series. The model range included 2-door saloon (sometimes referred to as a coupé) and convertible body styles, [ 4 ] [ 5 ] as well as being the first 3 Series to be produced in 4-door saloon and wagon/estate body styles.
