In 1877, Thorne built the saloon and named it The Palace Saloon; it was one of over forty bars which stood next to one another on Whiskey Row in Prescott. [ 2 ] [ 3 ] Over the course of its history it has seen such famous patrons as Wyatt Earp , Virgil Earp , Doc Holliday (in the 1870s before they headed south to Tombstone ), and Steve McQueen .

Bar Rescue is an American reality TV series that premiered on Paramount Network (formerly Spike) on July 17, 2011. It stars Jon Taffer (a long-time food and beverage industry consultant specializing in nightclubs and pubs), who offers his professional expertise, access to service industry experts, and renovations and equipment to desperately failing bars in order to save them from closing.
It has mansard roofs on the bay towers. The lower floor facade has been changed by the addition of short, modern windows above lower siding. It is frequently called the "furthest western bar in the conterminous United States." The Palace Saloon/Donnelly building is a contributing structure to the Ferndale Main Street Historic District.
M. H. Donnelly purchased L. Canepa's saloon in the Foster building at the north east corner of Main and Brown. [2] They named this business the "Palace Saloon" and other members of their family arrived in town to help with the business, [3] but by November, the Palace was moving out and the Foster building was renovated for B. O. Hart of Eureka's saloon.
