Green Lake is a long, narrow lake [6] in a glacier-carved valley east of the city of Meadow Lake. The lake's main inflow, Tea Creek, [7] enters the lake at its southern end. Tea Creek begins at Shell Lake and flows north into Green Lake. Green River, [8] Green Lake's outflow, starts at the lake's northern end and flows north into Beaver River.
Green Lake is located in North Cascades National Park, in the U. S. state of Washington. [2] Situated 1.5 mi (2.4 km) northeast of Bacon Peak , Green Lake receives some runoff from Green Lake Glacier which empties into the lake after plunging 375 ft (114 m) over Bacon Lake Falls .
Green Lake has a maximum depth of 237 ft (72 m), making it the deepest natural inland lake in Wisconsin and the second largest by volume. The lake covers 29.72 km 2 (7,340 acres) and has an average depth of 30.48 m (100.0 ft). Green Lake has 43.94 km (27.30 mi) of diverse shoreline, ranging from sandstone bluffs to marshes. [2]
