Gerhard Martin Julius Schmidt (Hebrew: גרהרד מרטין יוליוס שמידט; 21 August 1919 in Berlin – 12 July 1971, in Zurich, buried in Rehovot), was an organic chemist and chemical crystallographer, dean of the chemistry faculty of the Weizmann Institute of Science, and its scientific director in 1969.
