Bull Run Regional Park is a 1,568-acre (635 ha) multi-use facility located in Centreville, Virginia, owned and operated by the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority. The park is situated near Interstate 66 , in the Bull Run / Occoquan Stream valley.
Bull Creek District Park is a 48-acre (19 ha) city park in Austin, Texas. [1] The park was created in 1971, and named for Bull Creek , the stream that passes through it and provides the focal point of the park's primary attractions of swimming, hiking, and fishing.
About 1,800 acres (7.3 km²) of land around the lake have been set aside for public use areas. These areas provide roads, parking spaces, boat ramps, nature trails, picnicking and camping sites along with sanitary facilities. [4] There are several places open to camping, including Tall Chief Cove, Bull Creek and Twin Points campgrounds.
The town of Bull Creek was located near the present day Albee Campground. Clearcutting the forest began in 1946 and between 1950 and 1959 over 10,000 acres of the forest burned in uncontrolled wildfires. [6] About three dozen homes washed away in the 1955 floods; coffins from the cemetery ended up in the redwood trees. [7]
