Joseph William Utsler (/ ˈ juː t s l ər /; born October 14, 1974), [5] known by his stage name Shaggy 2 Dope, is an American rapper, record producer and professional wrestler. He is part of the hip hop duo Insane Clown Posse .
Insane Clown Posse, often abbreviated as ICP, is an American hip hop duo. Formed in Detroit in 1989, ICP's best-known lineup consists of rappers Violent J (Joseph Bruce) and Shaggy 2 Dope (originally 2 Dope; Joseph Utsler).
Bruce and Utsler met backstage with various wrestlers, including the owner of the WWF, Vince McMahon, and his son, Shane McMahon. Bruce and Utsler paid Mick Foley, a wrestler with the WWF, his royalty payments from the ICP Strangle-Mania DVD, as Foley appeared in almost every match, and a friendship began among the three. [6]
