[4] The Ladies' Pool House was built in 1836, and is a 22-sided structure. The buildings have changed little over the years, except for the 2021 rehabilitation of the pools. The Omni Homestead, a luxury mountain resort in Hot Springs, is the county's major employer. The resort grew around the area's mineral springs, such as the Jefferson Pools. (As of July 1, 2018, the Jefferson Pools have been closed by the resort. The pools are anticipated to reopen once the safety of their surrounding structures is verified.)

Hot Springs is a census-designated place (CDP) in Bath County, Virginia, United States. The population as of the 2020 Census was 524. [1] It is located about 5 miles (8 kilometers) southwest of Warm Springs on U.S. Route 220. Hot Springs has several historic resorts, for the springs helped develop Bath County.
