Super Dodge Ball [a] is a dodgeball-based sports game produced by Technos Japan Corp. originally released as an arcade game in 1987.In Japan, it was the second game starring Technos Japan's video game character Kunio-kun, following Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun (the Japanese version of Renegade), although the connection between the two games was removed in the western release.
Kunio no Nekketsu Dodgeball Densetsu (くにおの熱血闘球伝説), known in English as Super Dodge Ball is the final Kunio game released by Technōs Japan before the company went out of business. The game was never formally released in Japan and only saw limited release as an MVS-only Neo-Geo release in North America.
Technōs Japan Corp. [1] was a Japanese video game developer, best known for the Double Dragon and Kunio-kun franchises (the latter including Renegade, Super Dodge Ball and River City Ransom) as well as Karate Champ, The Combatribes and Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer.
River City Ransom is the third game in Technos' Kunio-kun series released for the NES, preceded by Renegade and Super Dodge Ball. Like its predecessors, the game underwent great changes in its storyline and visuals during localization to make it more palatable for Western markets.
