U.S. Routes 24 and 36 split at Monroe City, with US 36 leading west-northwest 42 miles (68 km) to Macon and US 24 leading west-southwest 46 miles (74 km) to Moberly.
In 1837, Paris contained seven stores and a number of families. [6] On March 10, 1832, Abernathy and seven others organized the first Christian church in Paris. The church was built in a Gothic style of brick with four rooms at a cost of $11,000 (equivalent to $335,720 in 2023). [7] A post office called Paris has been in operation since 1841. [8]

Santa Fe is an unincorporated community in southeastern Monroe County, Missouri, United States. [1] It is located approximately twenty-five miles north of Mexico, near the southern edge of Mark Twain Lake. Santa Fe was founded in 1836 and named for Santa Fe, New Mexico. [2] [3] The post office at Santa Fe has been in operation since 1854. [4]
Tulip is an unincorporated community in northwest Audrain and southwest Monroe counties, in the U.S. state of Missouri. [1] The community is on Monroe county road 92. Long Branch flows past approximately one mile west and north of the site.
