If you've never logged in you can setup the login on the DirecTV website with information beyond your account number. You can pay there as well. If you pay over the phone with the voice system or online it posts same day.

Cannot access account. I cannot log in to directv.com. If I go to the site and click "sign in," it goes to an AT&T url with a DirecTV logo. If enter my login name and password I get a screen that says, This site can’t be reached. Check if there is a typo in cprodx.att.com. If spelling is correct, try running Windows Network Diagnostics.

I have been trying for hours to get in to my Directv account, but it keeps either saying my credentials are wrong, which they aren't, or redirecting me to ATT. I have tried using different device, browsers, app etc, still no luck. I able to log in to Directv App to watch shows etc, but I need to get in to my actual account (billing).
That $10 HD fee is so that you can access HD programming on all of your receivers. A regular HD receiver will just cost $7 a month. It should be labeled as a TV access fee. Also, what is the receiver model of the HD box you would like to deactivate? I am paying $10 a month for a hd receiver that has never been used in years, how do i remove it ...
