Recordings included Emanuel Laskey, Eddie Hill, Rose Battiste, Richard Street & the Distants, Alberta Adams, The Fabulous Peps [1] and Martha Star. [2] The label was formed by Hazel Coleman, mother of Berry Gordy's first wife Thelma Coleman. [3]
Sky Blu is Gordy's grandson and the son of Redfoo's half-brother, Berry Gordy IV, Gordy's son with his first wife Thelma Coleman. Redfoo and Sky Blu grew up in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles , where they formed the group in 2006 and later became involved in the electro house scene.

Gordy and Fuqua married in 1961 and Gordy was known afterwards as Gwen Gordy Fuqua for the duration of her life, though in 1968, Gordy and Fuqua divorced. After most of the Spinners left Motown for Atlantic Records in 1972, she struck up a romance with ex-Spinners bandmate G.C. Cameron , managed his career and later marrying him.
Gordy is also the biological mother of Marvin Gaye III, who was born on November 17, 1965, when she was a teenager. His biological father, singer Marvin Gaye, was 26 years old and married to Gordy's 43-year-old aunt Anna at the time. She agreed to give birth to the child because her aunt was unable to conceive.
Anna Ruby Gaye (née Gordy; January 28, 1922 – January 31, 2014) was an American businesswoman, composer and songwriter.An elder sister of Motown founder Berry Gordy, she became a record executive in the mid-to-late 1950s distributing records released on Checker and Gone Records before forming the Anna label with Billy Davis and her sister Gwen Gordy Fuqua.
