UPDATE: I re-named the "rockstar games" file found in the documents folder to "_rockstar games". I purchased on Steam, and need to start the Rockstar Launcher and launch GTAV before I open Steam. If Steam is already open, GTAV never launches. I don't know if this applies to your situation, but good luck!
IVE GOT A SOLUTION! so navigate to the social club through your browser, signin using your PSN account. Then go to account and change your email in there! They will send a verification email to the new email and then you can login with your new email! Then login to the launcher that way with the new email.
and go to documents and delete the rockstar games map. now clean your trashbin on the bureaublad. restart your pc, now install the rockstar launcher dont check the box start after installations. now go to settings/update and security/windows security/firewall-and network security and click on allow a app through the firewall.
That doesn't seem to only apply to Windows 7/8 though. Bruh they added the Rockstar Games Launcher post-launch to a lot of their games, and now they're removing support for older operating systems. It's like Rockstar wants to make their games difficult to play. Pirate versions still work though ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯.
I uninstalled Rockstar Games Launcher and Rockstar Games Social Club, I right clicked on the corrupted Downloads file, opened up Properties. Under the location tab, I pressed Restore Default and chose the default location for the file, Redownloaded Rockstar Games Launcher and it works perfectly fine now. 1. mrlny0.
The tutorial the other guy linked worked for me. You just have to rename the Rockstar Games folder under Documents & restart the launcher. During the restart the launcher will create a new folder that works.
