Vehicle owners may request a replacement of their vehicle's certificate of title if it has been lost, stolen, or mutilated. The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles urges customers check their license status at Mass.Gov/myRMV to access their profile if this may affect you.
A person recovering an original certificate of title for which a duplicate has been issued shall promptly surrender the original to the Registrar (Chapter 90D, Section 14[c]). If mutilated is selected, the Certificate of Title must be submitted with this application.
