Kuvempu University is a public state university in Shankaraghattta, Bhadravathi taluk, Shivamogga, Karnataka, India. It was established in 1987 by the act of the Karnataka state legislature through amendment No. 28/1976 dated 29 January 1989 under the Karnataka State University Act 1976. [ 2 ]
The academic undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Social Science (BSS, [1] B.Soc.Sc., or B.Soc.Sci.) requires three to four years of study in the social sciences at an institution of higher education, primarily found in the Commonwealth of Nations.
The EC project aimed to establish a large-scale educational network between 5 universities, including Kuvempu University. 5 research scholars belonging to the CSLC team were trained to teach and do research. The UUCMS is a joint effort between the Centre for Smart Governance, Government of Karnataka's Department of E-Governance, and the State Project Monitoring Unit under the Department of Higher Education. The SPMU is responsible for overseeing the project's progress and ensuring that all stakeholders remain connected during the development of UUCMS.
