The Hainan eastern ring high-speed railway is a high-speed railway on Hainan Island. It is operated by China Railway Guangzhou Group.Opened in December 2010, the railway links the capital Haikou at the northern end of the province, and goes alongside the eastern coastline to reach the resort city of Sanya in the southernmost region of the island.
The Hainan western ring high-speed railway (Chinese: 海南西环高速铁路; pinyin: Hǎinán xī huán gāosù tiělù, often abbreviated [海南]西环高铁; [Hǎinán] Xī huán gāotiě [1]) is a high-speed railway operated by China Railway Guangzhou Group in Hainan Province. It started operation on 30 December 2015.
It connects the provincial capital Haikou on the island's north coast with Sanya, the major city on Hainan's south coast. The rail line is 363.8 km long; its terminals are Haikou railway station and Sanya railway station. Cargo trains enter this railway from Zhanjiang, Guangdong, at the South Port of the Guangdong–Hainan Railway.
