The 2025 season will clash with the Big Bash League, Super Smash, Bangladesh Premier League and SA20. [1]The 2025 International League T20 is a professional T20 tournament held between men's franchise cricket teams, organized by the Emirates Cricket Board.
The league was founded in 2022 and is sanctioned by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB). The inaugural season of the ILT20 took place from January 13 to February 12, 2023, with six teams competing. The teams were: Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Dubai Capitals, Desert Vipers, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates, Sharjah Warriors.
In terms of infrastructure, the UAE have the best stadiums as compared to other Associate members: Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi; DSC Cricket Stadium, Dubai and Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah, which has hosted around 200 ODIs and Test matches. International stadiums in Ajman and Al Ain are currently under development.
In August 2022, the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) announced the establishment of the International League T20, a Twenty20 Cricket competition to be started in 2023. The teams for the competition, representing 6 different regions of the United Arab Emirates, including Dubai, were put up for auction in UAE in September 2022.
The grounds included in this list have held first-class, List-A and Twenty20 matches. Additionally, some have hosted Test matches , One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals . The United Arab Emirates is the only nation that is not a full member of the International Cricket Council to have hosted Test matches.
