I have been using the paid version of DFX for years and recently switched to the FX version. But after the last FX update, it no longer works when I configure my ASUS Zonar sound card for 5.1 channel surround sound. When I use FX with my 5.1 configuration, all I hear is “outer space” hum. Changing my soundcard back to stereo works as expected. Going back to 5.1 gives only an electronic ...
FxSound DSP which is part of the application processes the audio and outputs it to the audio output device in the format supported by the device. @nambesteek123 can you please check if there is any chrome setting which chooses a different audio playback device instead of “FxSound Audio Enhancer”. If the applications use the system default playback audio device which is “FxSound Audio Enhancer” then FxSound would work as expected.
1 - I uninstalled Fx Audio Enhancer and AudioRelay (The application I was talking about) from the device manager because deleting them from the control panel is not enough. So now my PC is completely free of any other audio app. 2 - They don’t have a subreddit but I tried searching their FAQ to no avail.

I am getting no sound whenever the app is open on Windows 10. This has started occurring today. I think it started after removing a headset that was plugged to the speakers. It was an older version, but updating it had no effect. Both Windows and FxSound seem to be registering audio playback. Sliders are moving. I just don’t hear anything, even when disabling FxSound with the button. The app ...
