There are number of spa towns in Hungary. Between the oldest and most visited are the spas of Budapest , Hévíz , Hajdúszoboszló , Bükf ürdő, Sárvár and Zalakaros . In 2011 the Hungarian spas were visited by around 700,000 guests, of whom around half were foreigners, mainly from Austria , Germany and Russia .
Around the bath several camp sites, hotels, boutiques, pensions and restaurants were built and in 1992 the 'recreation park' was opened as well. Today the bath in Bük is the second largest medicinal bath in Hungary. One of the most well known hotels in Bük is the Birdland Resort & Spa, which was awarded the Best Hungarian Wellness Hotel in 2007.
Bükkszék is a small village in the north of Hungary, near the town of Eger. It is located in Pétervására District of Heves County . The village became famous for its Salvus spa water in the middle of the 20th century.
