Yes, I have VLC Media Player and that plays the videos perfectly well. The issue is I'm attempting to input videos into a PowerPoint presentation. My understanding is that PowerPoint essentially uses Windows Media Player to play videos. Because the videos cannot be displayed in Windows Media Player, they are also not playing in PowerPoint.

I have been using the excellent Microsoft Expression Encoder Screen Capture tool and Encoder for years on Windows 7. It was a great tool to capture proof of concept during coding and deployment demo. This tool worked fine on Windows 10 until last year when a Windows update made the audio codec used by the OS incompatible with the tool.
I downloaded some videos with my Windows Media Player 11. But now get a message that my player doesn't support MP4 extensions. I tried to get the codecs I needed and ended up with some other flash players. How can I install the codec for the necessary codec for the Windows Media Player?
1- Download the video again. The original file might be incomplete. 2- Try watching the video in a different media player. The first media player may not have the necessary codecs for the video. Commercially-made video rarely has this problem. The problem usually appears when you try to view a homemade video.
Try k-lite codec pack with their inbuilt windows media player classic or download RealPlayer which should also play .mov files. I don’t know whether QuickTime player is still available from Apple but this should certainly play .mov files; iTunes also should play the file.
I'm thinkin that test case here for imcrosoft get Windows 10 ( 64) PRO, upgrade it to Windows 11, install all patches and try to install codec from mircosoft Store. For now I'm watching files with CodecPack, but the problem is my Corel Video Studio, can't render H.265 because it is taking native codecs from Windows system.
