I've seen issues with Chase not being able to send a text to a Google Voice (and likely Google Fi) number several months ago. If you have a line with AT&T, Verizon, TMobile or Sprint, I'd think that it should work. Another idea could be that they don't support an overlay area code yet, should that be your first 3 digits.

I have been stuck on amazon's CC verification process. Amazon has been unhelpful to say the least. I discovered that my capital one venture card uses address verification or AVS, and amazon only does account verification. If this happens, amazon will indefinitely continue to try to verify the card when it's impossible.
CAPITAL ONE APPLICATION MESSAGE. I applied for a Capital one card today, and this is the message I received: Good News! You're almost approved, but we need additional information before we can open your account. We'll contact you in 7-10 business days with more details. I don't know of anyone personally that has gotten this message.
Re: Capital one verification process. This is quite a bit of stress for a no rewards category platinum card. I would just use a debit card until you get your ID, phone number issue, etc figured out. Just take a step back and stop using the card for 30 days until they resolve it.

Capital One Verification !! So Im venting. On 8-7-15, I applied for CAP 1 QS1. It told me my application needed review. So I called and it was for ID verification. First I was told I needed SSC and Proof of address (bill etc) , I said okay and faxed. A week later I call and they said that the Bill came in fine but SSC was unreadable.

If a bank won’t accept your passport for identity verification, inquire about the specific reason and ask if there are alternative documents they might accept. Some banks may have additional requirements or prefer certain types of identification.
